Obituary for Jody A. Hall
Jody A. Hall, 71, of Vincennes, passed away Wednesday morning at 4:44 AM in Evansville with his family at his bedside. Jody was born October 25, 1946 in Chicago, IL the son of Gerald and Marion Pollard Hall. He was a graduate of Vincennes University having received AS degree in automotive technology. He served his country during the Vietnam war in the U. S. Army having attained the rank of Sgt. He was a mechanic and drove a school bus for Vincennes Community School Corp. He married Mary E. Bezy on December 5, 1967 and they made their life together for 50 years. Jody was a devoted family man, enjoying time with his wife and family. He was a member of the VFW, former member of the Eagles, Moose and served as president of the Eagles.
Jody is survived by his wife, Mary E. Hall, their children, Sara Hall of Vincennes, Judy Hall of Vincennes, Dawn Ridgley, and her husband Cory of Vincennes and Kate Hall, and wife Chrissie Hall of Vincennes. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Josh Baker, Chelsea Sparks, Christopher Brown, Tempa Evans, Brian Evans, Alexandria Hall, Eli Cummins, Kaitlyn Guyer, Jacob Cummins, Austin Ridgley and Zoie Ridgley, Jordan Hall and Caleb Hall, 14 great grandchildren and was expecting another. He is also survived by a sister, Mari Jo Davitto of Chicago, IL, his brothers and sisters in law, Karen Day, Cathy Thompson, and her husband John, Tom Bezy, and his wife Mary, Patricia Blackburn, Leona Kotter, and her husband Denny, Mark Bezy, Paul Bezy, and his wife Jacqueline, Rose Harper, and Martha Land, and her husband Bill all of Vincennes.
Jody was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Hall, twin grandson’s, Nathaniel and Joseph Hall, his parents, and brothers in law, James Day, Robert Bezy, Mike Kahre, Gary Blackburn, Steven Harper and Ed Bezy III.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held Saturday December 30, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Wounded Warriors Project.
