Obituary for John Privett Jr. John Privett Jr., 83, passed away March 22, 2012 at his residence at 12:25 pm with his family by his bedside. He was born May 24, 1928 in Bicknell, IN the son of John Sr. and Cora Winegar Privett. He was fondly remembered as �Junior.� He married Rosa Baker on March 17, 1971 and they made their life together for nearly 41 years. He was a coal mine maintenance man, and worked for Green Construction Co. He formerly worked at Bicknell City Parks Dept, and a member of the Odd Fellows. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his Wife, Rosa Privett, his children, Ilena Vendes of Bicknell, IN, Lucinda �Cookie� Faith and her husband Darrell of Bicknell, IN, Martha Yates of Nashville, TN, and Sharon Yates of Nashville, TN. a sister, Loretta Lagneau, and her husband Edward of Princeton, IN. Grandchildren, Danny Reynolds Jr., Christina Pea, John Lindsey, Billy Trowbridge, and Erin Bornick, 16 Great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild also survive him. He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers William and Walter Privett, his sisters, Pearl Scott, Daisy Kolb, Violet Yantes, and Stella Perry. 4 brothers and sisters in infancy also preceded him in death. Funeral services will be celebrated Tuesday March 27, 2012 at 11 AM at Duesterberg- Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Rev. Tom Anderson and Rev, Charles Crouch officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday March 26, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice or the Sandborn United Methodist Church.
