Obituary for John R. Bodart John R. Bodart, 72, of Vincennes passed away March 23, 2012 at 10:35 am at his residence with his family by his bedside. He was born November 6, 1939 in Vincennes the son of Marcel & Helen Decker Bodart. He was 1959 graduate of Lincoln High School and he began his career as an electrician through the IBEW Union and worked as a lineman and welder on the Merom power plant, he also worked with and retired from Wabash Valley Human Services. He was the maintenance person for Colonial Assisted Living. He was raised in the catholic faith and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed karaoke, motorcycles and was an avid gun collector. He is survived by his children, Melanie Wilson of Vincennes, Scott Bodart, and his wife Jill of Greenwood, his grandchildren, John Zachary Wilson, and his wife Tracie, Katie Sargeant, and her husband Kevin, Jessica Bodart and Jenna Williams. 5 Great grandchildren, his sister, Marilyn Day of Princeton, IN, His loving companion, Karen Bezy Day of Vincennes also survive him. He will be missed by several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his wife, Kristen Sue Like Bodart in 2004 and his parents. Funeral services will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Monday March 26, 2012 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM Monday until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Knox County Relay for Life.
