Obituary for Josephine B. Leopold
Josephine B. Leopold, 85, formerly of Bicknell, IN, passed away Monday October 21, 2019 at the Gentle Care Nursing Campus. Josephine was born February 8, 1934 in Bicknell, IN the daughter of Raymond and Bessie Farmer Leopold. She was raised by her father and step mother, Dorothy Leopold. She attended the Church of God in Monroe City, IN and she was a homemaker and devoted mother.
She is survived by her son’s, Cary W. Erwin, and his wife Diane of Indianapolis, IN, Terry Erwin, and his wife Barbara of Vincennes, IN and Herbie Erwin, and Jennie of Elnora, IN. Her grandchildren, Carrie J. Lamb, Shannon Juaruz, Faye M. Quatela, Kara Smith, Kaylee Astell, Darci Hoover, Dalton Sellers, Christopher A. Grubb, Timothy F. Grubb, Anthony S. Grubb and Sabrina L. Dye. She was blessed with 16 Great grandchildren and one Great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her step sister, Darlene Holt, and her husband Jerry of Bicknell and her step brother, Ronald Tincher, and his wife Linda of Little Cincinnati, IN.
Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother, 6 brothers, Eugene Leopold, Vernon Leopold, Merle Leopold, Bill Leopold, Larry Leopold and Harold Leopold.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday October 26, 2019 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Steve Burch officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the time of services at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel, Bicknell, IN. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Good Samaritan Heart Center, Vincennes, IN. The Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist Josephine’s family during their time of loss.
