Obituary for Joyce M. Rodrick
Joyce M. Rodrick, 77, of Ragsdale, IN, passed away Monday August 9, 2021 with her family at her bedside. Joyce was born February 4, 1944 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of Henry and Vivian Farmer Dalle Ave. She was a graduate of Bruceville High School and worked at North Knox School Corp. and her last employment was with Wal-Mart. She married John H. Rodrick on August 17, 1963 and they have made their life together for nearly 58 years. Joyce was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church/St Francis Xavier and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Joyce is survived by her husband, John H. Rodrick, their children, Jennifer Case of Ragsdale, IN, Jeffrey Rodrick of Ragsdale, IN and John Rodrick, and his wife Lucinda of Bruceville, IN. Their grandchildren, Jordan (Cher) Pinnick, Cassandra Pinnick, John Michael (Nicole) Rodrick Jayce Rodrick and Ainsley Rodrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Henry Dalle Ave, and two sisters, Joan Flury and Kay Scarff. She was also preceded in death by her aunts, Jennie and Lena Dalle Ave whom she had a special relationship with.
A Celebration of her Life will be held Friday August 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home, Vincennes with Fr. Tony Ernst and Fr. Garrett Braun officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday August 13, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Joyce’s family during their time of loss.
