Obituary for Junanita G. Spitts
Obituary for Juanita G. Spitts Juanita G. Spitts, 92, of Vincennes passed away Monday May 25, 2015 at the Willow Manor Nursing Center. She was born Jan 15, 1923 in Vincennes the daughter of George and Mabel Balgenorth Gremore. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ, she was a Gray Lady volunteer at the Good Samaritan Hospital and formerly was a cashier at various grocery stores. She formerly held memberships in the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. She married John R. Spitts who preceded her in 1989. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Halter, and her husband Charles of Bruceville, her grandchildren, Amy Halter, Megan Halter, Jennifer Parker, Bill Palmer and Daniel Palmer. Her great grandchildren, Isaac Palmer, Luke Palmer, Blayne Johnson, Gunner Palmer and Ryker Palmer. She is also survived by a brother, Kenneth Gremore, and his wife Ruth of Bloomfield, IN, her sisters, Maxine Lafferty of Vincennes and Irma Pruesner of Vincennes. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Spitts, her children, John Eric Spitts and Denise Palmer, her parents and three sisters, Alma Raney, Gladys Barmes and Lois Meyer. Funeral services will be celebrated Thursday May 28, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Kate Lambert officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer�s Unit at the Willow Manor Nursing Center in her memory.
