Obituary for Katharine M. Jones
Katharine M. "Kathy" Jones , 78, of Vincennes passed away Monday morning November 1, 2021. Katharine was born May 16, 1943 in Joliet, IL the daughter of Woodrow and Helen (Furnish) Fisher. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and was a cook at various food service establishments. She was active in Alcoholics Anonymous and was a member of the Presbyterian faith. She married Ace Jones and he preceded her in death. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Kathy is survived by her children, Keith Fisher of Vincennes, Kellilee Williams of Fallon, NV and grandchildren, Geoffrey Williams, Dale Williams, NuTosha Case, Crystal Williams Potter and Jay Williams, and their families. She also had numerous nieces and nephews, including Lynn Hunt and Sally Monceaux, that she held very dear.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ace Jones, her parents and four sisters, Jennie Kimmel, Patricia Miller, Nancy Scott and Shirley Pierce.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday November 4, 2021 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 AM for family. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Kathy’s family during their loss.
