Obituary for Kathryn L. Marchino Kathryn L. Marchino, 86, a former resident on Old Wheatland Road in Palmyra Township for over 50 years passed away Tuesday March 11, 2014 at Bridgepointe Health Center with her children at her bedside. She was born February 13, 1928 in Vincennes the daughter of Hugh & Katie Hoffman Rout. She was a graduate of Fritchton High School and formerly worked as a bookkeeper at Vincennes Auto Parts. She married L. Louis Marchino on November 19, 1946 and they made their life together for nearly 68 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter and sister. She was a member of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church and formerly was a member of the Knox County Extension Homemakers. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and was the seamstress of many formal gowns for her girls. She loved being with her family and attending the various activities of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren especially basketball events where her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren played. She is survived by her husband, L. Louis Marchino, their children, Larry Marchino, and his wife Betsy of Bruceville, IN, Diane Frederick of Vincennes, IN, Patrick Marchino, and his wife Vicki of Sullivan, IN, Donald W. Marchino, of Huntingburg, IN, Linda M. Wagoner, and her husband Dean of Vincennes, IN, James Marchino, and his wife Jane Ann of Newburgh, IN and Mark Marchino, and his wife Andrea of Newburgh, IN. Her grandchildren, Scott and Laura Marchino, Jason and Jamie Frederick, Lisa Allen, Laura and Todd Chenoweth, Craig and Erica Marchino, Rick Marchino, Peter and Raven Marchino, Kevin Marchino, Sara & Sean Wirth, Jared Wagoner, Brian Marchino, Lauren Marchino, Kaitlyn Marchino and Austin Marchino, 17 great grandchildren and a brother, H. Wayne Rout, and his wife Nancy of El Paso, TX, and several neices and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by a son in law, Larry Frederick, a daughter in law, Vickie Marchino, her parents and two brothers, James Edward Rout as a toddler and Harold at birth. Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM EST at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Ron Barnes officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday March 14, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM EST at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home and prior to the services on Saturday. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church in care of the funeral home.
