Obituary for Kenneth L. Crecelius
Kenneth L. Crecelius, 75, of Vincennes passed away at the Sullivan County Community Hospital at 7:22 PM Monday January 15, 2018. He was born March 2, 1942 in Washington, IN the son of Clarence Crecelius and Dorothy Richardson Jones. He was a graduate of Washington High School and worked for over 20 years at E. Bierhaus and Sons and retired in the maintaince department for the Vincennes Community Schools. He formerly held memberships in the Moose Club and French Clubs in Bicknell and served as past governor for the Moose and past president at the French Club. He loved to call bingo for both organizations and cooked for each club. He was an avid I. U. Hoosier fan and loved to say, “Go Hoosiers”
He is survived by his family, Kim Riker of Bicknell, IN, Terry Crecelius of Dugger, IN, Tammy Westfall of Bicknell, IN, Jenny Meeks of Oblong, IL and J.R. Duncan of Clayton, IN. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Christopher N.J. Duke.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 19, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating. He will be interred at a later date. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
