Obituary for Larry D. Edgin
Larry D. Edgin, 70, of Vincennes passed away Monday May 27, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Larry was born August 17, 1948 in Vincennes the son of Marshall and Ruby Cummins Edgin. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Class of 1966 and on August 26, 1966 he married Linda Crawford and they made their life together for almost 53 years. Larry was a contractor having owned Edgin Construction Co. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, VFW an avid horseman, he rode with the Washington Saddle Club. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother.
Larry is survived by his wife Linda Edgin, their children, Michelle Tranbarger, and her husband Kerry of Gastonia, NC, Deana Bottoms, and her partner Jim Dant of Terre Haute, IN and Greg Edgin, and his wife Jonna of Vincennes. His grandchildren, Kyle Tranbarger, and his wife Elaina, Kaleigh Ellis, and her husband Will, Ryan Bottoms, and his wife Kristin, Riley Bottoms and Alexis Edgin. His great grandchildren, Kaleb Tranbarger, Ella Ellis, Jaden Tranbarger and Aubrey Ellis. He is also survived by a brother, Dennis Edgin of Indianapolis, IN, his sisters, Reba Kimmell of Columbus, IN, Donna Mullens of Vincennes, IN, Joann Howder of Vincennes, IN, Carol Fields, and her husband Ron of Evansville, IN, Linda Waller, and her husband David of Cadiz, KY and Kathy Burch, and her husband Jerry of Vincennes, IN. and his many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday May 31, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Andrew Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Friday. He will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Riley Children’s Hospital. Duesterberg-Fredrick is honored to assist the Edgin family during their time of loss.
