Obituary for Lawrence T. Steimel Lawrence T. Steimel, 91, of Wheatland, IN, passed away Sunday April 1, 2012 on his birthday. He was born April 1, 1921 in Vincennes the son of John & Flossie Butler Steimel. He was a graduate of Wheatland High School, on November 20, 1941, he married Mildred Earley, and they made their life together for nearly 71 years. He worked and retired from Vincennes Steel while he farmed and drove a truck. He was a member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and was proud to be a great-great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Steimel, their children, Larry Steimel and his wife Donna of Monrovia, IN, Jean Carrie, and her husband Harvey of Wheatland, IN and Kim Steimel of Wheatland, IN. He was blessed by 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren. A brother, Joe Steimel, and his wife Judy of Indianapolis, IN, also survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Don Steimel, Ray Steimel and Gene Steimel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday April 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church with Fr. John Schipp officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 Tuesday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home.
