Obituary for Lelia A. "Babe" Hooten
Obituary for Lelia Agnes �Babe� Hooten Lelia Agnes �Babe� Hooten, 86, of Bicknell, IN, passed away November 29, 2015 at 11:00 PM at the New Willow Manor Health Campus. She was born July 1,1929 in Bicknell, IN the daughter of Spencer and Maefair Wolford Robinson. She retired from RCA in Bloomington. She married James William Hooten on March 16, 1946 and they made their life together for over 66 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and formerly attended the Salvation Army. She is survived by her children, James W. Hooten of Bicknell, Ray Hooten, and his wife Alice of Bicknell, IN and Shannon Morgan, and her companion Dave Pitman also of Bicknell. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren a brother, Larry Robinson of Oaktown, IN and 2 sisters, Mabel �Toby� Danhauer of Nenivia, IN and Shirley Robinson of Oklahoma City, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James W. Hooten Jr. 2 daughters, Brenda Slater and Linda Parker, a daughter in law, Nancy Hooten, 3 grandsons, John Hooten, Roger Parker and James Ryan Slater and 3 great grandchildren. She was also preceded by 3 brothers, Wayne Robinson, Rufus Robinson, Melvin Robinson, Clovis Robinson in infancy and 4 sisters, Hazel Martindale, Mildred Feduccia, Nora Ellen Robinson and Erma Lee Gabbart. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday December 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with interment in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Jon McKinnon will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the donor�s charity of choice.
