Obituary for Loretta R. Holscher Loretta R. Holscher, 81, of Vincennes, IN passed away Friday, May 24, 2013 at 8:19 PM at the St. Mary�s Medical Center in Evansville with her family at her bedside praying as she made her return to God. She was born February 10, 1932 in Knox County the daughter of Howard & Martha Froeschke Helderman. She married Charles R. Holscher on February 5, 1951, and they made their life together for 62 years. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at Eakins Tax Service for several years. She was a member of the St. Vincent Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the grandchildren�s sporting events, playing dominoes and euchre with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Holscher, her children: Don Holscher and his wife Rita of Palestine, IL; Dave Holscher and his wife Kaye of Palestine, IL; Bob Holscher and his wife Kayla of Palestine, IL; Diane Vieck and her husband Mark of Vincennes, IN; Joe Holscher and his wife Phyllis of Monroe City, IN; Larry Holscher and his wife Kathy of Vincennes, IN; and Denise Dillon and her husband Mark of Bruceville, IN. Grandchildren: Hannah Holscher, PhD and her husband Naiman Khan, PhD; Holly Dix and her husband Dan; Jude Holscher, Ethan Holscher; Emily Murphy and her husband Brian; Kurt Holscher and his wife Anne; Ross Holscher and his wife Stevie; Ryan Carter, Eric Holscher, Evan Holscher, Krescene Holscher, Hillary Vieck, Nick Vieck and his wife Kena; Elaina Lavely and her husband Chris; Scott Holscher and his wife Andrea; Jeremy Holscher and his wife Kaylin; Kevin Holscher, Luke Holscher, Levi Holscher, Lance Holscher, Kara Beth Holscher, Zach Dillon, and Andrew Dillon. Her great-grandchildren: Maya, Tess, Ellis, Carter, Lincoln, Rhett, Greyson, Miles, Mason, Jackson, Madison, Hudson, and the family is expecting 2 additional great-grandchildren in the near future. She is also survived by 2 brothers: Bill Helderman and his wife Elaine of Vincennes; and Paul Helderman and his wife Mary of Vincennes; a sister in law: Betty Wonning of Vincennes and 2 brothers-in-law, Kenneth Fortner and Jim Eakins both of Vincennes. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Vieck and Kendall Dillon, her parents, a brother, Bob Wonning, and 2 sisters, Reba Fortner and Carolyn Eakins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the St. Vincent Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Tower II Mausoleum in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home from 5 to 8 PM. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Vincent Catholic Church or the St. Vincent Cemetery Fund.
