Obituary for Louise M. Ketchem
Louise M. Ketchem, 83, of Bicknell passed away at her home Thursday October 21, 2021. Louise was born February 14, 1938 in Daviess County, IN the daughter of Jesse F. and Lora Pruett Ketchem. Louise was a part of a large family and she is the last one of her immediate family to join them in heaven. What a reunion. She was a member of First Christian Church in Bicknell and was part of the church choir for years. She was an avid reader of the Bible and believing if everybody would read the Bible everyday this would be a better place. Louise enjoyed sitting on her front porch watching and waving at the passersby. If she was not on the porch, many would still honk their horn as they drove by. Louise loved her family, her church family and her many friends. She will be missed.
Louise is survived by her nieces, Ilena Vendes, Cookie Faith, Nancy Ketchem, Carla Hanger, Bonnie Garner, Sue Vinson, Marcia Rodgers, Teresa Jeffers, Judy Ketchem and Bernice Browning. Her nephews, Richard (Sandy) Ketchem and Robert (Valerie) Brooks. A sister in law Mrs. Johnnie (Betty) Ketchem and several great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Lora Ketchem, her sisters, Iva Harrington, Bonnie (Ruth) Clements, Betty Brooks, Evelyn Grubbs, Connie Lorine Ketchem, a sister in infancy, her brothers, Perry Ketchem, Jerry Ketchem, Johnnie Ketchem and Harold Ketchem.
Funeral services will be celebrated Wednesday October 27, 2021at 3:00 PM at the First Christian Church with Ron Barnes officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Edwardsport IOOF Cemetery next to her family. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of services at the church.
