Obituary for Marc A. Flenar Marc A. Flenar, 59, formerly of Vincennes, passed away Sunday June 29, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He was born November 27, 1954 in Vincennes the son of Donald R. and Ruby Jane Thompson Flenar. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Vincennes University. He formerly worked in the banking industry with American National Bank in Vincennes and German American Bank in Jasper. He attended the Methodist Church and wa a member of the Greyhound Rescue Assn. He retrained Greyhounds for adoption by family�s. He was an avid animal activist and enjoyed his animals. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Jane Flenar of Sullivan, his sister, Jill Harrison, and her companion Marcus Knight of Sullivan, IN. His nephew and nieces, Dale Harvey, Amy Burns and Susan Stoltz. He is also survived by 3 great nephews and 2 great neices. He was preceded by his father, Donald R. Flenar and a sister, Barbara Harvey. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. The family request donations in his memory to be sent to the Greyhound Rescue Assn.
