Obituary for Marietta B. "Worland" Catt
Marietta (Worland) Catt left this earth on Friday May 20th, after a long battle with cancer. Born January 7, 1943 in Vincennes, IN. To Cyril and Marie (Yochum) Worland. The 2nd eldest of 5 children. Marietta grew up in the St Thomas area. Attended St Thomas school from 1st to 8th grade. Graduating from St Rose Academy in 1961. After graduation and a long distance relationship she moved to Indianapolis. And later married the love of her life Walter "Gene"Catt, on April 18, 1964. In 1967 they relocated back to Vincennes where she started her career in banking until retiring in 2012. Gene and Marietta moved to Monroe City and built a log cabin home together. And finished raising their 2 children Kimberly Marie and Brian Eugene. Marietta was very strong in her Catholic faith. And generous as well. She was very proud of her accomplishments, Relay for life(7 yr breast cancer survivor) and donating over 10.5 gallons of blood to the American Red Cross. She enjoyed many things in life spending time with her family and grandchildren, attending various sports activities, plays and graduations. She loved the outdoors especially mowing grass and tending to her garden. And she would never turn the opportunity down to get a turtle blizzard.

She will be truly missed by all. Marietta was survived by her loving husband, Gene of 58 years. Their two children Kim (Tracy) Greentree and Brian (Angela Rehwald) Catt all of Vincennes. Grand children Logan (Alisha) Greentree, Spenser Greentree, Kirsten McQueen (Dean Bagniefski), Jake (Kelsi) Greentree and Olivia Catt.
Great Grandchildren Brody Akers, Alaina Greentree, Katarina McQueen, Kamrynn McQueen and Garrison Martin. Surviving siblings Richard Worland, Theresa Volle and Cyril "June" Worland. Sister-in-Grace Minnie Krieg and Vicki Enlow. Also several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Preceded in death by her Parents Cyril and Marie Worland, Brother Frances "Fritz" Worland, Sisters-in-law's Dorthy "Dot" Worland, Becky Hall, Mary Etta Everett and Marilyn Lane. Brother-in-law Hilbert "Hib" Volle.

The family would like to express many thanks to the Good Samaritan Hospice for the great care for the whole family, nurses, Church family, extended family and friends. For helping us through this difficult and heart breaking time.
