Obituary for Marjorie A. Kaiser

Marjorie A. Kaiser, 81, of Vincennes passed away Friday January 12, 2018 at 11:30 PM at the Willow Manor Nursing Center with her family at her bedside. Marjorie was born June 24, 1936 in Vincennes the daughter of Walter and Mary Schultz Souligney. She was a graduate of St. Rose Academy, she married Richard E. Kaiser on July 17, 1956 and they made their life together for nearly 55 years. She worked as a department manager at Montgomery Ward and retired as a sales clerk from J.C. Penny after 15 years of service. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, K of C Auxiliary and a former member of the Harmony Society. She served as past president of St. Ann’s Altar Society, volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Good Samaritan Hospital and the Generations program at Vincennes University.

Marge is survived by her children, Tammara “Tammy” Seger, and her husband Don of Lawrenceville, IL and John R. Kaiser of Vincennes, IN. She was a grandmother to the many international students her daughter and son in law sponsored.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday January 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Weber, Fr. David Fleck and Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday January 16, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Vincennes Pet Port or Christian Education Foundation.
