Obituary for Mark O. “Shorty” Heacock
Mark O. “Shorty” Heacock, 63, of Vincennes, passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born July 30, 1953 in Vincennes the son of Carl and Gladys Kean Heacock. He worked as a truck driver having worked for Troy’s Towing. He formerly was a member of the Moose Lodge. He married Susan Trader on July 8, 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Heacock of Vincennes, children, Julie Gregg of Talbot, TN, Crystal Cooper of Strawberry Plain, TN, Bruce Heacock of Cleveland, TN, Christina Powell of Vincennes and James Mathews of Gary, IN. and his mother, Gladys Kean Heacock of Vincennes. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, his brothers, Monty Heacock of Romeoville, IL, Ronnie Heacock of Bicknell, IN, Peter Heacock of Vincennes, Shelia White of Decker and Elnora Winninger of Vincennes.
He was preceded in death by his father, and 3 brothers, Matthew, Tim and Tommy Heacock.
Services will be held Saturday May 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
