Obituary for Mary Ann Dove
Mary Ann Dove, 80, formerly of Freelandville, IN, passed away Wednesday morning at the Lodge of the Wabash. Mary Ann was born November 24, 1942 at St. Francisville, IL the daughter of Earl and Gladys Bowen Provines. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School, graduated the dialysis program at Good Samaritan Hospital, and served as a dialysis tech for over 21 years. She had formerly worked at Provines Cabinet Shop for over 18 years. She formerly was a member of Franklin Heights Christian Church and she enjoyed reading and her dog, “Abby”. She married Jim Dove and he preceded her in 1974.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Jimmie J. Dove, and his wife Patty of Oakland City, IN, Sandy K. Conner, and her husband Mike of Provo, Utah and Ann Marie Vash, and her husband Michael of Vincennes, IN. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, her brothers, Larry Provines, and his wife Patty of Vincennes, IN and Wilber Provines, and his wife June of Salem, IN.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Jim Dove, a daughter, Susan F. Welte, her parents, 6 brothers, Verne Provines, Cecil Provines, Robert Provines, Donnie Provines, Roy E. Provines, Condon Provines and a sister, Fern Stone.
A Gathering to Celebrate her Life will be held Sunday November 19, 2023 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with her brother, Larry Provines officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the GSH Dialysis Department. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Dove family during their time of loss.
