Obituary for Mary E. (Bumgarner) Bayne
Mary E. (Bumgarner) Bayne, 87, of Vincennes passed away Sunday morning at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Mary was born August 19, 1932 in Vincennes the daughter of Wayne and Mary A. Thomas Bumgarner. She was a graduate of St. Rose Academy, attended Vincennes University and worked at Tiny Tot Day Care for many years. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Aux. She married Roland K. Bayne on May 13, 1962 and they made their life together for 47 years until his death on October 23, 2009.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Van Leir of Princeton, IN, Jim Van Leir of Hopatcong, NJ, Ranleigh Bayne of Vincennes, IN, Rawleigh K. Bayne of Vincennes, IN, Beverly Latshaw of Vincennes, IN, and Roland K. Bayne II of Hopatcong, NJ. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Tony Bumgarner of Chicago, IL, her sisters, Rita Nowaskie of Vincennes and Nancy Knoblett of Palestine, IL.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday July 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Jay Howder officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Roland in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of services at 2:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice program. Duesterberg-Fredrick is honored to assist Mary Bayne’s family during their time of loss.
