Obituary for Melony Kay Gilmore
Melony Kay Gilmore, 60, of Edwardsport, IN joined her Dad and Brother in her heavenly home on April 1, 2020. Melony was born November 30, 1959 the daughter of Donald R. and Judy Martin Gilmore. She was a special child of God and loved her golf cart adventures with her mother. She loved to color, sing, listening to music, eating popcorn with her family and getting together with her family. She was a member of the Edwardsport United Methodist Church and was always kissing and hugging her family.
She is survived by her mother, Judy Gilmore of Edwardsport, IN, her sisters Lori A. Buskirk, and her husband Jeff of Edwardsport, IN, Donna D. Hastings, and her husband Mike of Edwardsport, IN and a sister in law, Sherry Gilmore of Bicknell, IN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Donald (Britney) Gilmore III, Tyler (Jayda) Gilmore, Aubrey (Cort) Bilskie and Ben Buskirk, 8 great nieces and nephews.
Melony was preceded in death by her father, Donald R. Gilmore, a brother, Donnie R. Gilmore and a great nephew and a great niece.
Private services will be held and a public celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. She will be laid to rest next to her dad in the Edwardsport Town Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Edwardsport United Methodist Church. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements for the Gilmore Family.
