Michael "Greg" Clark, 57, of Wheatland, IN, passed away suddenly on March 2, 2025 at his home of natural causes. Greg was born on June 6, 1967 in Newland, NC and was the son of the late Howard Clark and Kip Bender Clark. He graduated from Avery County High School and served his country in the U.S. Army for 4 years, during which time he played baseball and traveled throughout Europe. Greg was standing by the Berlin Wall when it came down. Greg spent the majority of his life as a nurseryman working in the landscaping industry like his father. Starting in childhood, he loved the dirt and he loved the trees. After he moved to Indiana, he worked as a self-employed landscaper in the area and became a member of New Heart Church, where he built a relationship with the Lord. He met and married Jenny R. Cook and they made a loving, Christian life together. Greg was a caring, loving man whose actions spoke volumes of his beliefs. His heart was always a pure one.
Greg was greeted at the gates by his father, Howard Clark (we are sure they are fishing now) and his baby sister, Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Jenny R. Clark; His mother, Kip Clark; His children, Morgan Clark (Matt) Blessing of Blountville, TN, Emma Clark of Jonas Ridge, NC, and Lillian Clark of Libertyville, NC. He gained 3 more children when he married Jenny: Joshua Slone of Warsaw, IN, Tara Robbins of Edwardsport, IN, and Makayla Flickinger of Evansville, IN. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Olivia Blessing, Caroline Blessing and Conley Blessing. His sisters, Trish Clark (Adam) James of Nashville, TN and Lynn Bunn of Louisville, KY. Niece Sadie James and Nephew Max James of Nashville, TN; Uncle William Clark of Jonas Ridge, NC and many cousins who loved him. And we must not forget his BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER and friend of 40 years, Tony Tapia-Aguilar of Bicknell, IN.
Greg’s life should be remembered as a lesson to all. You can want to do better. You can change yourself. You can make yourself proud. No matter the past, no matter the amount of time. Change is possible.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held March 8, 2024, at 11:00 AM at New Heart Church, 1204 Broadway, Vincennes, IN. It is asked for everyone attending to be prepared to celebrate by sharing memories of his life.
