Obituary for Michael Paul Schlamp
Michael Paul Schlamp, 54, of Vincennes, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at his residence. Michael was born March 24, 1965 in Limestone, ME the son of Lanny and Verna Deweese Schlamp. He was a Lincoln High school graduate and attended 1st Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt mushrooms and fish. He knew every type of mushroom that grows. He was devoted to his family and friends, and enjoyed time spent doing anything possible.
He is survived by his father, Lanny Schlamp, and his wife Sharon S. Thornton of Bloomington, IN, his mother Verna Deweese Schlamp of Smithton, IL, his sons, William McCarter of Vincennes, and Hunter Schlamp of Vincennes, his sisters, Diane Winkler, and her husband John of Shiloh, IL and Rebecca Wilton, and her husband Ben of Perry, GA. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Duesterberg- Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Rogier officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Francisco IOOF Cemetery, Francisco, IN. at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Donor’s Charity of Choice. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Schlamp family during their time of loss.
