Obituary for Michael W. Walters
Michael W. Walters, 52, of Vincennes passed away March 21, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Mike was born October 30, 1969 in Vincennes ,IN the son of James M. and Maxine Shelton Walters. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Vincennes University receiving an A.S. degree in Social Sciences. He worked as a tool and die maker for Roadmaster, Johnson Controls and Pruitt Manufacturing. He attended the Four Square Church, a member of Vincennes Gun Club & NRA . He was an avid gun collector and target shooter. He married Mary Louise Dardeen McCarter and they made their life together for over 30 years.Â
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Walters, his family, Anthony A. McCarter, and his wife Cheryl of Terre Haute, IN, Bradley L. McCarter, and his wife Carlene of Vincennes, IN ,Doug McCarter and his wife Jenna of Vincennes, IN, daughter, Kelly Mundy, and her husband Kent of Bicknell, IN.Â
Mother Maxine Walters of Florida,sister, Virginia Lotz, Â 2 nephews and her husband Kevin of Cloverdale, IN. brother, Steve Walters of Louisville, KY . Â Mike had 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father James Walters.
Funeral Services will be celebrated on Tuesday March 29, 2022 at 1:00 PMat Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Simmons and Carlene McCarter officiating. He will be laid to rest in Highland Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, IL. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
