Obit for Paul B. "Butch" Sager


Paul B. "Butch" Sager, 78, passed away February 27, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. He was born on October 29, 1946 in Tuscola, IL the son of Paul and Martha Jane Deckard Sager. He married Linda Hall on September 5, 1964 and they made their lives together for 48 years until her death on January 1, 2013. He owned and operated Butch's Janitor Service for 58 years. Butch enjoyed dirt track racing where he drove his #54 car for over 20 years. He was devoted to his profession and his work was his pride while his racing was his legacy. He was a devoted father and grandfather.


He is survived by his children Pamela Smith and her husband Dennis of Vincennes and Paula Draper and her husband Harry of Vincennes. His grandchildren Jonathan Vennard, Jonna Vennard, and Shayna Smith and a great- grandchild Azalin Vennard. He is also survived by a brother, Mike Sager and his wife Charlene of Irvine, TX.


He was preceded by his wife Linda, his parents and a brother Bruce Sager.


Private services will be conducted. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation/Cardiology Department.
