Obituary for Paul R. Bouchie
Obituary for Paul R. Bouchie Paul R. Bouchie, 81, of Vincennes, passed away at his home Tuesday March 5, 2015. He was born May 25, 1933 in Knox County the son of Ulysses and Anna Cardinal Bouchie. Paul was a 1951 graduate of Central Catholic High School and served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army having attained the rank of Sergeant. He married Dixie Ann Horn on August 11, 1958 and they made their life together for nearly 59 years. He was a devout catholic, a member of St. John Catholic Church, he was faithful in saying the rosary every evening, an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan, a Notre Dame Fighting Irish Fan and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, he was proud of his grand dog, Rudy and his John Deere Tractor. He is survived by his wife, Dixie Bouchie, their daughter, Denise Gartner of Vincennes, his grandchildren, Nicholas Gartner and Janelle Gartner. He is also survived by his brothers in law, Albert Dollahan and Robert Kramer both of Vincennes, IN. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Louis Bouchie, his sisters, Mary Margaret Dollahan, Sylvia J. Hess, Ann Lee Frey, Louella Kramer and a sister Mildred Bouchie in infancy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday May 7, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at the St. John Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the St. John Catholic Church. Memorial Contributions can be made in his memory to the church.
