Obituary for Ralph V. Buescher Ralph V. Buescher, 86, of Edwardsport, IN, passed away Thursday March 15, 2012 at 3:20 pm at the Freelandville Community Home with his family at his bedside. He was born May 7, 1925 in Edwardsport, IN the son of Paul & Selma Kruger Buescher. At the age of 9 months, his mother died and he was raised by his stepmother, Lucille Core Buescher. He was born into a long tradition of farmers that began in 1893 and his love of the land was passed to his children. On July 29, 1956, he married Patty Lett and they made their life on the farm together for nearly 56 years. He was a lifelong member of the Bethel Church, Christian Partners Sunday Class and served the church as a deacon on the church board. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. His love of the land kept him focused on the importance of the land, family and his faith. He is survived by his wife, Patty Buescher, their son�s, John W. Buescher, and his wife Tina of Sandborn, IN and Charles R. Buescher, and his wife Janet of Edwardsport, IN. His grandchildren, Abby Nieb, and her husband Shawn, Eliza Givens, and her husband Lee, Meaghan Meeks, and her husband Cody, Christi Price and Jordan Buescher, his great grandchildren, Keylee Nieb, Madlyn Nieb, Kyle Givens, Dylan Givens, Ethan Givens, Reid Meeks, Lara Mackey, Evelyn Price and a great grandchild that is expected soon, will deeply miss him. A nephew Joe Buescher also survives. His parents, step mother and a brother and sister in law, Vernon & Mary Joyce Buescher preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be celebrated Monday March 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Mike DeCoursey officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Sunday March 18, 2012 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Freelandville Community Home or the Good Samaritan Hospice at the funeral home. Online condolences can be made at duesterbergfredrick.com.
