Obituary for Renus J. Graman
Obituary for Renus J. Graman Renus J. Graman, 89, of Vincennes, IN passed at his residence October 15, 2016 at 3:14 PM with his family at his bedside. He was born August 20, 1927 in St. Meinrad, IN the son of Joseph E. and Mary Denning Graman. He served this country during WW II in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Germaine Becher on October 28, 1950 and they made their life together for nearly 66 years. He worked at Vincennes Steel for over 38 years and was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church where his was involved in the various works of the church. He held memberships in the American Legion, VFW, he was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus, he and his wife were inducted into the Brute Society in 2009 and formerly served as president of the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Assn. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Germaine Graman, their children, Debra Cary, and her husband, Bill of Bruceville, IN, Cliff Graman, and his wife Fonda of Fairfield Township, OH, Brian Graman, and his wife Diana of Columbus, IN, Doris Graman of Vincennes, IN, J.D. Graman, and his wife Christina of Bruceville, IN. Their grandchildren, Jessica Grumieaux, Jacob Cary, Scott Graman, Tracy Armstrong, Aimee Gelhot, Jen Noyes, Ethan Graman, Cody Graman, Andrew Graman and Christopher Graman. He is also survived by 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte in infancy, his parents, 5 brothers, Hubert, Karl, Hilbert, Edmond and Urban Graman. Three sisters also preceded, Dorothy Graman, Anne Williams and Josephine Holtzman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday October 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Kaiser officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with military honors presented by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Good Samaritan Hospice. Online condolences can be made at duesterbergfredrick.com
