Obituary for Rev. Alice Bline
Reverend Alice Bline, of Bicknell, Indiana, born the third month, 1st day of 1940, went home to be with the Lord early in the morning of Thursday, June 8th, 2017. She was surrounded by her family signing praises to God as they celebrated her entry into His kingdom.
Alice was born in Kentucky to Granville and Bessie Johnson. Shemarried the love of her life, the apple of her eye, and her sunshine, Jerry Bline in 1964. Alice pastored the Bicknell Church of God for 39 years and was a member of the Eastern Star. The most important accomplishments in her life were being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Alice’s family includes 2 biological children, Reverend Jess Bline (Hadassah) of Bicknell, Indiana and Alice Louise Harrison (Fred) of Terre Haute Indiana. Her children also include a son in love, Richard Pollock and a daughter in love, Linda Bline. She has 8 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was also a grandmother to all the
children at the Bicknell Church of God.
She is survived by her brother, Virgil Johnson, of Austin, Indiana and sister, Maxine Banks, of Vincennes, Indiana.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bline, parents, Granville and Bessie Johnson, brother, David Johnson, sisters, Cora Ruth Clem and Virginia Donahue,
and grandson Jess Granville Bline.
Funeral services will be celebrated Monday June 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Rev. Jess Bline and Rev. Fred Harrison officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday June 11, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral and priorto the services on Monday.
