Obituary for Rex Allen Johnson
Obituary for Rex A. Johnson Rex A. Johnson, 56, of Vincennes, passed away Wednesday afternoon December 7, 2011 with his family at his bedside. He was born March 24, 1955 in Vincennes, IN the son of Harry �Gene� and Bessie Normalee Clark Johnson. He was a graduate of North Knox High School and he owned and operated Johnson Painting Contractors. He was married to Debra Earley on Feb 25, 1978 and they made their life together for 33 years. He was a member of the First Nazarene Church of Vincennes and was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed woodworking and was an avid CORN HOLE participant. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was called many names but the one he enjoyed the most was �PAPAW�. He is survived by his wife, Debra Earley Johnson, their daughters, Amber Johnson of Evansville, IN, Kristen Cardinal of Emison and Holly Wall and her husband Aaron, of Monroe City, IN. Grandchildren, Josten Cardinal, Rylan Cardinal, Tylee Wall and his namesake, Arrex Wall. His brothers, Dennis Johnson of Princeton, IN, Robin Johnson of Ocala, Fl and Terry Williams, and his wife Terri Sue of Bloomington, IN. He is also survived by his mother in law, Mary �Nana� Earley of Vincennes, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sheila Cruz. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday December 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Taylor officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Tower II Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the funeral home and prior to the services on Saturday.
