Obituary for Richard E. Frank
Richard Ellis Frank was born July 4, 1941 in Elko, Nevada; when asked his age he always gave the date, then added “I’m the firecracker.” His parents were Arthur and LouElla Frank. Richard served in the Marine Corps for 5 years, then returned to Reno where he worked in the plating shop at Harrah’s Automobile Collection. It was at the Collection he met, and married Cindi Jerrell on June 5, 1968. Richard and Cindi moved from Reno to Soda Springs, Idaho in 1975; lived there for 17 years, then moved to various Southern California cities to manage Storage Facilities. They retired in 2008 and moved to Robinson, having friends here. Richard loved hunting, fishing and historical reenactment. He was a member of both St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Robinson, and St. James Episcopal Church, Vincennes where he became involved in picking up supplies for the St. James Food Bank and greeting the people coming to the food bank. He also was also involved with the Crawford County and Hutsonville Historical Societies. Richard is survived by his wife, sister-in-law Barbara Schell and husband Eric, sister-in law Laura Jerrell; niece Eimile Pay, husband Steven, daughters Ashleigh, Evelyn and Chelsea; nephews Matthew Schell, wife Jessica sons Matthew, Dylan and daughter Maya; Ryan Schell, wife Judy and daughter Alexis; Jonathan Schell; Jason Schell, wife Anna, daughter Ava and son Samuel; and Kelly Jerrell. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marian, and niece Elizabeth.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. (edt) Saturday, June 15 at St. James Episcopal church, 6th & Perry, Vincennes. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 16th at 2 p.m. (cdt) at the Hutson Cabins Chapel, outer S. Rose, Hutsonville, Il. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hutsonville Historical Society. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist the Frank family during their time of loss.
