Obituary for Richard James Dalle Ave
Richard James Dalle Ave, 82, of Ragsdale passed away Sunday October 9, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Richard was born July 2, 1940 in Ragsdale, IN the son of John F. and Flora M. Carli Dalle Ave. He was a 1958 graduate of Bruceville High School Hilltoppers and he worked for Packaging Corp in Vincennes during his working career. He was a member of the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. He loved to quail hunting and playing golf, where he had three holes in one. He enjoyed being with his nieces and nephews and attending any North Knox High School sporting events.
Richard is survived by a brother, George Dalle Ave and his wife Susie of Monroe City, IN. his nieces and nephews, Margaret Dalle Ave, Mark Dalle Ave M.D., Heather (Michael) McKinley, Heath (Ryan) Dalle Ave, and Heidi (Shelby) Thompson. He is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, Austin McKinley, Addison McKinley, Abigail McKinley, Alex McKinley, Jacob Dalle Ave, Carson Thompson and Morgan Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, John Dalle Ave Jr., Matthew Dalle Ave and a sister in law, Anna Marie Dalle Ave.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday October 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Tony Ernst officiating at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM on Friday. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the North Knox High School Girls basketball program. Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel is honored to assist the Dalle Ave family during their time of loss.
