Obituary for Ricky Lee Robinson Sr.
Obituary for Ricky Lee Robinson Sr. Ricky Lee Robinson Sr., 58, of Bicknell, IN passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital November 2, 2011 at 1:48 pm. He was born May 29, 1953 in Vincennes, IN the son of Marvin J. & Norma Jean Payne Robinson. He was a graduate of North Knox High School and served his country during the Viet Nam war in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a brakeman for Con Rail/ CSX Railroad until his health caused him to retire. He was a member of the French Club in Bicknell, IN. He married Sherri Privett and they continued to make their life together until his death. He is survived by Sherri Robinson, Bicknell, Tabbitha J. Cummings, and her husband Mikeal of Bicknell, Ricky Lee Robinson Jr, and his wife Shelly of Louisville, KY and Michael E. Robinson of Terre Haute, IN. His grandchildren, Michael Black, Amberleigh Black, Heather Newberry, Caleb Robinson and Kyndal Robinson. His sisters, Georgetta Strong of Bicknell, Paulette Isabell of Terre Haute, IN and Dodie Stickford of Indianapolis, IN also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin J & Norma Jean Robinson and a brother Marvin �Bubby� Robinson. A Celebration of His Life will be conducted Saturday November 12, 2011 at 5:00pm at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel in Bicknell with Rev. Jon McKinnon officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Good Samaritan Hospital Welch Diabetes Center.
