Obituary for Rita C. Lewis Urgento Rita C. Lewis Urgento, 68, formerly of Vincennes, passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 in Houston, TX. She was born July 18, 1944 in Vincennes the daughter of James R. & Mary L. Thompson Lewis. She was a 1962 graduate of St. Rose Academy and after graduation; she enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman and became the assistant to Commander Quillen upon completion of her service to her country. She married Joseph Patrick Urgento and he preceded her in death on January 20, 1989. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Seaton Catholic Church and formerly was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. During her career, she worked as a home loan banker for various banks. She is survived by her sons�, J. Patrick Urgento II of Austin, TX and Thomas Andrew Urgento of New York, NY, her brother James �Jim� Lewis, and his wife Tambra of Vincennes, her sisters, Mary Lou Joy of Denver, CO, E. Camilla Witmer, and her husband Chuck of Indianapolis, IN and Julia Peach of Apex, North Carolina. Her husband and her parents preceded her in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday June 13, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. David Martin officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery next to her parents. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the services at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
