Obituary for Robert L. Diekman Robert L. Diekman, 81 of Oaktown, passed away at his home Wednesday January 6, 2016 at 11:35 AM with his family at his bedside. He was born June 12, 1934 in Widner Township the son of Louis and Pauline Pea Diekman. He was a graduate of Freelandville High School and a lifelong farmer. He was married to Janet Hollingsworth on April 8, 1962 and they made their life together for nearly 54 years. He was a lifelong member of the Mariah Creek Christian Church where he served as a deacon, elder, trustee and treasurer. He also was a distributor for Hardy Heater Wood burning Stoves. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. He is survived by his wife, Janet Diekman, their family, Holly J. McKinnon, and her husband Jon S. of Bicknell and Debra L Worland, and her husband Tom also of Bicknell. Grandchildren, Jon R. McKinnon and his wife Victoria, Jack McKinnon and his wife Danielle, Luke McKinnon and Savannah Worland. A sister, Fava Petty of Lyons, IN also survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother who was killed in Korea, Jack Diekman and a sister, Charlotte Huff. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M Saturday January 9, 2016 at the Old Mariah Creek Church with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mariah Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the Old Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mariah Creek Church in his memory.
