Obituary for Robert M. Kaiser Robert M. Kaiser, 83, of Vincennes, passed away Tuesday March 6, 2012 at 10:42 AM at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his side. He was born November 18, 1928 in Vincennes the son of Raymond & Anna Speth Kaiser. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and served his country during the Korean War in the U. S. Army. During his service, his unit received 3 major battle stars, and received several unit citations. He married Marian (B) Sievers on August 25, 1953 and they made their lives together for nearly 59 years. He worked at various positions and he retired from the Vincennes Housing Authority. He was a member of St John Catholic Church, a life member of the VFW and American Legion and served as Past Commander of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Marian (B) Kaiser, their children, Michael A Kaiser, and his wife Donna of Bruceville, Brian D. Kaiser, and is wife Debra of Vincennes, Kay E. Lemen, and her husband Chris of Osgood, IN, Robert P. (Paul) Kaiser, and his wife Regina of Sandborn, IN, Christopher J. Kaiser of Pennsylvania and Curtis D. Kaiser, and his wife Nicky of Henderson, KY. His grandchildren, Alan Kaiser, Sarah Kaiser, Bradley Kaiser, Heather Kaiser, Amanda Good, Angela Connelley, Danielle Comer, Adam Kaiser, Amber Kaiser, Autum Memering, James Kaiser, Kristen Kaiser, Benjamin Kaiser and Joel Kaiser. 4 great grandchildren, his sisters, Harriett Gartner of Vincennes, Leona Duke of Bicknell and Rita Leeper, and her husband Tom of Indianapolis, IN also survive. He was preceded in death by a son, Keith, a daughter, Catherine, his parents, a brother, Richard Kaiser and a sister Bernadine Crock. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday March 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Gravesite military honors will be conducted by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm Friday at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions can be in his memory to the Good Samaritan Hospital Cancer Center.
