Obituary for Samuel T. �Sam� King Samuel T. �Sam� King, 83, of Vincennes, IN, formerly of Sanborn, IN, passed away Friday June 19, 2015 at the home of his daughter. He was born April 21, 1932 in Oaktown, IN the son of Roy and Mary Followell King. He was a graduate of Oaktown High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a carpenter and tree trimmer and was a devoted father. He is survived by his children, Everett Leroy King, and his wife Evelyn of Bridgeport, IL, Clarence �Pork� King and his wife Lisa of Vincennes, Jimmy King and his companion Melody of Vincennes, Beth Evans, and her husband David of Vincennes and Mary Harsha, and her husband Mike of Sanborn, IN. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. He had a niece, Lorena Goff of Oaktown, IN that he thought of as a sister. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Carol Abel King, his 2nd Wife, Florence Abel King, a son, Thomas King and 4 sisters, Bernadine, Bonnie, Ruth and Virginia �Georgie�. Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 22, 2015 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Pastor Harley Archer officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife Florence in the Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Hospital for Children.
