Obituary for Thelma J. Wheeler Thelma J. Wheeler, 75,of Bicknell was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday May 29, 2016 at 11:50 PM at the Freelandville Community Home in Freelandville, IN with her family at her bedside. She was born November 26, 1940 in Princeton, IN the daughter of Roy and Cora Christie. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of God in Bicknell. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed her family and her church. She is survived by her children, Frank Wheeler of Vincennes, IN, Jean Ray, and her husband Jimmie of Bicknell, IN, Floyd Wheeler of Bicknell, IN and Cora Earnest, and her husband Monroe Jr. of Dundas, IL. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was expecting another great grandchild. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, James Wheeler and Doyle Wheeler, her parents, and a brother Earl Christie. A celebration of her life will be conducted Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Alice Bline officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of God or to the family.
