Obituary for Thomas R. Brothers Thomas R. Brothers, 72, of Vincennes, passed away Friday afternoon October 18, 2013 at 1:20 PM at the Willow Manor Nursing Center. He was born November 13, 1940 in St. Francisville, IL the son of Chester & Mildred Wolfe Brothers. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and he served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired as an electrician at the Good Samaritan Hospital after 29 years. He was a member of the Son�s of the American Legion, Vincennes Gun Club, NRA, VFW and attended St. Thomas Catholic Church. He enjoyed watching little league baseball, fishing and High School Athletics. He is survived by 2 daughters, Cynthia Brothers and Christina Brothers both of Hammond, IN, and 2 grandchildren, Alicia Arnold & Tiffany Arnold, his great grandchildren, Isela Corvera & Antonio Corvera III. His brother, Kenneth Brothers, and his wife Mary Kay of Vincennes, His sisters, Shirley Waldroup, and her husband, Jim and Vickie Sue Elkins, and her husband, Patrick, both of Vincennes. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kristopher Stately in 2011, his parents, and a brother, Joe Brothers Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Tuesday October 22, 2013 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Gravesite Military Honors will be conducted by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends on Monday October 21, 2013 at the funeral home from 5 to 8 PM. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to St. Thomas Cemetery Fund, Good Samaritan Hospice, Knox County Relay for Life or to the donor�s charity of choice.
