Obituary for Thomas Richard George Thomas Richard George, 66, formerly of Hammond, IN., passed away Saturday August 13, 2016 at The Waters/Christian Care Center in Ashland City, TN. He was born December 14, 1949 in East Chicago, IN the son of Victor W. and Eileen Wininger George. He attended Morton High School in Hammond and served his country where he became disabled in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam Era . He is survived by his son, Tommy L. George, and his wife April, of White Bluff, TN, his grandchildren, Hailey George, Kamron George and Konner George. His sister, Vicki K. George of White Bluff, TN, a nephew, Bill Miller of Kingston Springs, TN., and he is also survived by several cousins and longtime family friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor W. and Eileen George and his brother Gary D. George. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday August 17, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel in Bicknell, IN with Pastor Jon McKinnon officiating . Military Honors will be conducted by the All Weather Firing Squad. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the services at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest next to his parents and his brother in the Asbury Chapel Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Vincennes VFW in his memory.
