Obituary for Wanda F. Prullage
Wanda Faye Prullage, 86, of Ellettsville passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She was born in Sumner, Illinois on August 18, 1931 to Owen Harlie and Vera LaMay (Heckler) Hasler. She was a 1947 graduate of Sumner High School and she graduated from the Good Samaritan Nursing School. She married Paul Bernard Prullage on August 21, 1954 and they made their life together for over 61 years until his death on July 30, 2016.Â
 Wanda worked as a registered nurse at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes and  St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville until she retired in 1996. In 1982 she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Evansville where she and her daughter, Beth graduated in the same class. After retirement, she has lived in Ellettsville the past 20 years. She was a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Ellettsville, and attended Christ the King Catholic Church in Evansville, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vincennes.Â

Wanda is survived by her daughters Beth Scucci and her husband Sam of Parker, Colorado; Paula Toth and her husband Tom of Spring, Texas; and Janis Polley and her husband Willard of Ellettsville, IN and her son Joe and his wife Julia (Kelly) of Mokane, Missouri. Her grandchildren Stephany and Brian Scucci; Greg Toth and his wife Shannon, Jeff, and Chris Toth; Eric Prullage; and Matthew, Andrew, and Michael Polley. She is also survived by a  sister, June Schultz of Sumner, IL , her brothers Lloyd Hasler of Lawrenceville, IL , and Noel Hasler and his wife Bonnie of Bridgeport, IL.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband; her parents;Â a sister Kathryn Hasler, brother-in-law Pat Schultz and sister-in-law Mary Jo Hasler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 PM Saturday, Sept 2, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vincennes, IN with Fr. David Fleck officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 10 AM-1 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Catholic Charities. Online condolences can be made at duesterbergfredrick.com
