Obituary for William J. “Bill” Fox
William J. “Bill” Fox, 71, of Bicknell, IN passed away Friday October 9, 2020 at the home of his son at 7:45 PM with his family at his bedside. Bill was born October 18, 1948 in Vincennes the son of John R. and Clara E. Evans Fox. After high school he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Patricia “Patty” Speth and they made their life together until her death in 2007. Bill was his own man, her worked in the construction industry and retired due to ill health. He was a member of the French Club, VFW and attended the Word of Life Church. Bill enjoyed joking and teasing those he liked and lived his life his way.
He is survived by his children, Tamela Fox of Cary, IL, William A. Fox, and his wife Suzie of Bicknell, IN, Janet Pearce of Bicknell, IN, Betty Jo Pirone, and her husband Nick of Bicknell, IN and Richard Fox, and his wife Ambra of Vincennes, IN. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, three brothers, Sherman Fox of Shelburn, IN, Steve Fox of Bicknell, IN and Donnie Reed of Vincennes, IN. He will be missed by several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Fox, his parents, two brothers, Kenny Fox and John R. “Pete” Fox, two sisters, Sandra Phillipe and Dorothy Frye.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday October 14, 2020 at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor John Moreland officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Pet Port.
