Obituary for William Robert �Bob� Preusz William Robert �Bob� Preusz, 85, of Vincennes, passed away Friday January 23, 2015 at 2:29 PM at the Good Samaritan Hospital with his family at his bedside. He was born October 11, 1929 in Vincennes the son of William Patrick and Wilda Eva Dunham Preusz. He was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War in the Army Transport Corps. He married Diane Bratton on January 12, 1952 and they made their life together for 63 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and nothing was more important than family, faith and home. He owned and operated the ENCO service station at 6th and Busseron early in his career and he retired as a Insurance agent and manager of the United Insurance Company of America. He was a member of the Old Cathedral Catholic Church, a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, he served as faithful navigator, Elks, American Legion, Hoosier Cruisers Antique Club, he was a life member of the Vincennes Jaycees, a former bus driver for route 5 of the Vincennes School Corp and was an instructor of the Service Station Management Program at Vincennes University. He is survived by his wife, Diane Preusz, their children, Susan Nesbitt, and her husband Don of Vincennes, Michael Preusz of Vincennes and Judy Jerrell, and her husband, Richard �Rick� of Vincennes. Their grandchildren, William �Will� Nesbitt and his wife Laura, Eric Nesbitt, and his wife Dr. Lindsay Nesbitt MD, Erica Lynn Preusz, Aaron Preusz, Jacob Preusz, Katie Preusz, Cory Jerrell and Justin Jerrell. Their great grandchildren Sophia Nesbitt, Jackson Nesbitt, Ella Nesbitt, William �Liam� Nesbitt, a brother Gerald Preusz, and his wife Sandy of Vincennes and several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Harry and Charles Preusz and 2 sisters, Helen Brubaker and June Curry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday January 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church with Fr. David Fleck officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM Sunday January 25, 2015 at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Old Cathedral Stained Glass Restoration Fund, Vincennes Pet Port or the Knox County Humane Society.
