Obituary for Wilma F. Oestereich

Wilma F. Oestereich, 83, of Vincennes, IN passed away May 13, 2020 at her residence. Wilma was born August 16, 1936 in Knox County the daughter of Charles F. and Reba King Holland. She was a graduate of Bruceville High School and receives an A.S. degree and became an administrative assistant for the State of Wyoming. Wilma married Ernest A. Ostereich on August 30, 1980 and they made their life together until his death on August 12, 1996. She was an active member of the St. John Lutheran Church, serving on various committees. She loved the outdoors, gardening, her animals and farming.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana Lynn Rickard (Timothy Spindler) of Haubstadt, IN and Donna Sue Rickard (Robert V. Pilifant) of Port Angles, WA. Her granddaughter, Amariah Nycole Spindler, her great grandson, Kai Sergeevich Malkin and a sister, Brenda Murphy (Fred) of Monroe City, IN also survives.

Wilma was preceded in death by her husband Ernest A. Ostereich, her parents and four brothers, Robert J. Holland, Charles E. Holland, Richard A. Holland and David S. Holland.

A Celebration of Her Life will be conducted on Wednesday May 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Maxwell officiating. The family will receive friends prior to her services at the church. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the St. John Lutheran Day Care Program in care of the church. Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home is honored to assist Wilma’s family during their time of loss.
