Anita W. Catt, 91, of Westphalia, IN, passed away Friday August 16, 2024 at 7:30 PM at her home with family at her bedside. Anita was born January 30, 1933 in Westphalia the daughter of Ernest and Frieda Prior Volle. She was a graduate of Edwardsport High School and on May 21, 1952, she married Joseph E. Catt, and they made their life together for 61 years until his death on January 28, 2014. She was a homemaker and formerly worked in food service at North Knox School Corp. Anita was a member of the Edwardsport Methodist Church, and avid quilter, having won various shows and fairs in the area. She attained grand champion status at local shows. She and her husband Joe loved to travel to Florida, where they spent the winter.

Anita is survived by her children, Randy (Michelle) Catt of Vincennes, IN, Linda Catt (Robin) Helderman of Vincennes, and Angie Catt (Jeremiah) McWilliams of Venice, FL. Her grandchildren Ryan Catt, Becky Catt, Robbie Catt, Andrew Catt, Aaron Catt, Brad Dillon, Ashley Herzog, Alicia Pinnick, Shelby Helderman, Josh Downey and Kirsten Helderman. Her Great Grandchildren, Benjamin Dillon, Trevor Dillon, Cameron Dillon Peyton Catt-Krohn, Robbie Catt Jr. and Alora Catt. Her sisters, Gertrude Weaver of Linton and Betty (Bob) Miller of Bicknell, IN also survive her.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband Joe Catt, her parents, Ernest and Frieda Volle, her brothers, Roy Volle, Hib Volle, Ernie Volle and a sister, Judy Brown.

Gravesite services will be held Wednesday August 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Salem UCC Church Cemetery with Pastor John Moreland officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband. The family asks that memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Edwardsport United Methodist Church.
