Obituary for Ann J. Bauer Ann J Bauer, 101, of Vincennes, IN, passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 at 2:58 AM at the Lodge of the Wabash Nursing Center. She was born September 2, 1912 in the St. Thomas area the daughter of Alexius and Philomena Ruppel Bauer. She retired from St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham, IL as a medical technology clerk. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and the altar society. She is survived by her nieces and nephews whom she thought of as her children, Clara Moore, Charlotte Nichols, Catherine Rudny, Clara Hoffman, Marie Biggs, Louis Rusch Sr., Charles Kaiser, George Kaiser, Clarence Kaiser Jr. and Alex Infante. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John Bauer, her sisters, Mary Bauer, Catherine Rusch, Magdalena Kaiser, Elizabeth Bauer, Cecilia Bauer and Theresa Infante, Her niece, Ann Harmon and 2 nephews, Joseph Rusch and Richard Rusch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday October 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Kaiser and Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. She will be laid to rest with her family in the St. Thomas Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday October 14, 2013 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the St. Thomas Cemetery Fund.
