Obituary for Antoinette M. Ruppel Hedden Antoinette M. Ruppel Hedden, 79, of Vincennes passed away Monday July 29, 2013 at 8:25 AM at the Bridge Pointe Health Campus with her family at her bedside. She was born December 30, 1933 in Vincennes the daughter of Anthony & Anna Marie Schlomer Ruppel. She was a 1952 graduate of St. Rose Academy and she married Derald G. Hedden on October 2, 1954 and they made their life together until his death on May 15, 2006. She formerly worked at the Good Samaritan Hospital and was the bookkeeper for Hedden Trucking. She was raised at St. Thomas Catholic Church, attended St. John Catholic Church, and was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to travel with her family and has been to most of the lower 48 states. She also traveled to Rome, Italy for the beatification of St. Theodore Guerin. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and drawing. She was very interested in holistic health and eating organic foods. She also loved to play games including Bunco, Canasta, Euchre, Scrabble and Yahtzee She is survived by her family, Virginia Hedden of Davenport, FL, David W. Hedden and Julie Eisenhut of Vincennes, Ronald L. Hedden of Orlando, FL, Nancy (Hedden) Emmons, and her husband Kevin of Vincennes and Laurie (Hedden) Rinnert, and her husband Jerry of Davenport, FL. Her grandchildren, Jennifer Earles, Eva Earles, Jennifer (Hedden) Gibbs and her husband Stu, Leah (Emmons) Richter and her husband Clint, Garret Emmons, Makala Emmons, Jerrod Rinnert and his wife Safira and Ethan Rinnert. Her great grandchildren, Krewson Rinnert, Allison Gibbs, Samantha Gibbs and Kaytlin Gibbs. Her brothers and sisters, Mildred (Millie) Pea of Vincennes, Donald Ruppel, and his wife Lois of Vincennes, Richard Ruppel of Lawrenceville and Earl Ruppel, and his wife Judy of Vincennes. She will be missed by all of her nieces and nephews and the friends she made through out her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Derald G. Hedden, her parents, 5 brothers, Raymond Ruppel, Ed Ruppel, Ralph Ruppel, Vincent Ruppel and Robert Ruppel she was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Elizabeth Eddleman and Lillian Ruppel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday August 3, 2013 at the St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. John Schipp & Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating. She will be laid to rest in the St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday August 2, 2013 from 5 to 8 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made in her memory to the Christian Education Foundation or the Vincennes Pet Port.
