Ardythe Lee Zollars, 90, formerly of Bicknell, passed away July 25,2023 at Gentle Care Nursing Center. She was born July 8, 1933 in Decker, IN the daughter of James L. Sanders DVM and Julia Rehwald Sanders. She was a graduate of Decker High School and received a Bachelors degree. She had formerly worked at Johnson Controls. She married John A. Zollars and they made their life together until his death on December 11, 2022. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Bicknell Elks.

Ardythe is survived by her children, Cathy Joslin Swenson, and her husband Eric of Ft. Wayne, IN and Kyla Jo Funk, and her husband Bill of Lawrenceville, IL. Grandchildren, Logan Swenson, Grant Swenson, Kylie Funk Hopp, Alexis Funk, Rhett Funk and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 71 years, John A. Zollars, her parents, 3 brothers, Maurice, Vaughn and Roger Sanders.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday July 29, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home with Pastor April Dailey officiating . She will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery next to her husband. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM.
