Obituary for Barbara Jean Welton Barbara Jean Welton, 84, of Vincennes, passed away Tuesday June 9, 2015 at 4:45 AM at the Willow Manor Nursing Center. She was born April 8, 1931 in Washington, IN the daughter of Clyde Forrest Jones and Obeda Butcher Booker. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and she married Robert Glenn Welton who preceded her in 1989. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the Church of God and enjoyed playing bunko and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her children, Debra Sue Gilbert, and her husband Robert of Vincennes, Pamela Kay Cogdill of Louisville, IL, Robert Glenn Welton Jr, and his wife Sandra of Vandalia, OH. Her grandchildren, Travis Gilbert, Ashley Richmond, Shannon Barrett, Karen Campbell, Justin Cogdill, Andrea Smith and Michelle Knepp. Her 24 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn Welton, a daughter, Kimberly Jo. Knepp, her parents and two brothers, Clyde F. Jones Jr. and Mike D. Jones. Gravesite services will be held on Thursday June 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery. She will be laid to rest next to her husband. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the donor�s charity of choice.
