Obituary for Betty Charlene Anderson Betty Charlene Anderson, 95, of Vincennes passed away Saturday October 23, 2021. Charlene was born July 8, 1926 in Vincennes the daughter of Burley and Betsey Garris Haggard. She worked at Hamilton Glass/Schott for over 36 years and taught ceramics at Vincennes Senior Citizens Center. She taught ceramics in her home and formerly had the Quilt Shop. After retirement she worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart and became a trainer for new cashiers. She was a member of the DAR and a active member of Foursquare Church. Betty Charlene is survived by her children, Pansy Carie of Vincennes, IN, Gloria Diane Gilbertson, and her husband Warren of Bagley, MN and Mike Clevy of Vincennes, IN. Her grandchildren, Mark Carie, Dana Carie, Randy Carie, Tracy Wright, T.J. Clevy, Tina Vancil, Mokii Bose', Shane Gilbertson and Amy Peltz. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 21 first cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Burley and Betsey Haggard, 3 brothers, Vernard Haggard, Burl Deon Haggard and a brother in infancy, her sisters, Inadeen Carie, Mary Dardeen, Etta McGuyer and a sister in infancy. Services will be held Tuesday October 26, 2021at 12:00 PM with Pastor Jim Gidcumb officiating at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in the Highland Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, IL. The family will receive friends from 10:00 Am until the time of services at 12:00 PM Noon. Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Life Outreach International. Duesterberg-Fredrick is honored to assist the Anderson family during their time of loss.
